This updating of the 1972 Joseph Mankiewicz film is deftly handled and cleverly witty, with Michael Caine and Jude Law going head-to-head as actors and both giving enjoyable, well-balanced performances.

If you enjoy seeing Michael Caine and Jude Law in a clever one-act play, wouldn’t you enjoy seeing them do it three times in a row? If you answer yes, “Sleuth” should delight you.

Law, 34, will next appear in My Blueberry Nights, the English-language debut of celebrated Hong Kong filmmaker Wong Kar-Wai.

As you can see, Law of Desire was totally revamped, with a new clean and professional look.

Caine says there was no point in remaking Sleuth, because in his opinion, director Joseph L. Mankiewicz “did a perfect job of it,” 25 years ago.

The 34-year-old have indicted the mass media for giving him a negative shadiness and hyping up his split up from actress Sienna Glenn Miller in 2005.
